(Wo)Men at Work

Two weeks ago Dr. and Mrs. Liashek came to town to take some time away from the amazing east coast fall weather. Generally you would think that coming to San Diego for a few days would be a nice break, you can relax in the amazing weather, maybe hit the beach, eat plenty of good food, pretty much do anything. None of these things were on tap for those few days. From almost the second they walked through the door, we were working. I'll make it easy on everyone reading, here's a list of things accomplished in just 4 days.

-Shower fixtures installed
-Weeds and unwanted bushes removed and trimmed
-Pictures hung
-Mirrors hung
-Garage organized
-Surf rack built
-Peg board for the work bench cut and installed
-Peg board for gardening tools installed
-House vacuumed over 10 times
-Two dump runs
-7 trips to home depot

We managed to get all of this done and somehow find time to eat and sleep. We did so much in that short amount of time, that we actually did nothing the following weekend because it was time for a break. Don't worry though, we've been at it again these last two days and now have 3 more unfinished projects. We were excited to have the help and appreciate everything Dr. and Mrs. Liashek did while here. We can't say "thank you" enough and next time, I promise, we won't have to share a shower!

Garage-we finally know where anything is

Thank you so much for making our patio look great!

WOW - what alot of work you all did - I don't think we can live up to that pace but will certainly give it a whirl! The patio furniture is lovely and I look forward to having a glass of wine out there. We'd like to thank the Liashek's for getting the shower up and running for our visit!

Now Christian- It seems to me that your comment regarding the vacuuming of "over ten times" is incorrect! I vividly remember Christine and I performing that feat of housekeeping at least 20 times in three days. Vacuuming is like surfing. You hear the roar of the vacuum and it inspires you just like you hear the crashing of the wave next to you as you ride the curl! The sound is eternal as are waves! The ultimate end to a great surf ride is to flip the board over the wave at the end and head back out- just like rolling that Dyson around YM and Wilson!
